I have the WMP app because a lot of the video sites are streaming WMP files and quicktime will ignore them sometimes.

I have Firefox incase something doesn't mesh with Safari, like KBB.com. I was trying to look up a car value and it kept crashing safari when it got to the last page where the value would be after putting all that info in so I DL'ed Firefox and it worked like a charm.

In those rare instances I needed a second browser and Firefox was the fastest out of all I tested. In total I have three browsers, because I still have IE for MAC since in the very more rare cases a few websites have not worked with any of the above except IE.

So in short.... sometimes shit happens . ;)

Oh and I just Dl'ed the new safari 3.0 and it does everything the old 2.0 didn't so I think I'm about to go down to 2 browsers and trash firefox and keep my backup IE browser just incase since it works with everything. I hear 3.0 is crap on windows machines but it flat out smokes on my 17" G4 and is flawless. NICE.

why would you have it at all? Microsoft doesn't even support it anymore, and the last update they did was close to 3 years ago. even microsofts own page tell you to download flip4mac instead...

I use firefox because Safari doesnt meet all my needs. You cant select certain sites to allow popups for (there are several pages I need to use that require popup use) and I like the firefox plugins for my photo work. Such as one to easily view exif info with a right click and another custom one that will take a photo and create image tags around the url in one right click for posting in forum software.

If Safari was more versatile I consider using it.

Also, where have you found Safari 3.0? Mine is version 2.xx and it says there is no update for it.

    EDIT: nevermind found the beta.

Does the new version allow for you to give it specific sites to allow popups from? It isnt clear on the website.
