lol the good old 'punch em in the balls' pass,

I've been taught that if you use that elbow to effectively block and control the leg you are in less triangle danger. that being said I still never use a 1-in 1-out pass.

Do you pin the leg with your knee first?

i'm not sure how i end up there.. but i really end up there a lot.

but yeah im sure one of the ways i end up there is when i pin a leg with my knee.. and my arm is under their opposite leg. so one leg is scooped, and one leg is pinned. and theyre making it really hard to reach their neck by getting on their hip and reaching out with both hands. so then i pin the leg with my hand and go the other way.. since theyre hipped all the way out passing the other way is great. their back is exposed and that makes it feel very natural. those two make a great combination.

i smash the bottom leg with my hand.. but i keep my elbow in tight.. even if they manage to yank my arm inside.. all they got is some elbow.. and you cant triangle with that.

That's a slick pass. I want to give it a shot, but I'll have to get over feeling uncomfortable without pinning his leg with my knee.

if you have a pant leg.. grab the pants and smash your fist down into the ground as hard as you can. the bottom leg gets totally stuck and its very similar to pinning the knee. i actually feel more control this way because if they hip escape, sometimes your knee can slide off or whatever. its unfortunate we dont have fingers on our knees

That pass works but its 100% dependent on where your hand is (not the one grabbing the leg) you have to have it on the belt line (typically grabbing shorts/pants) and your elbow in close to your body holding his leg in place so that he cannot get the triangle.

if you do it retarded he can yank the arm pinning the leg back into the triangle..

but if youre doing it right.. you should be putting so much pressure on him, and going so much to his side that even if he slips your arm through, the angle is too extreme for him to get a good triangle.

My instructor teaches that moves, except you fake, reach all the way back to grab that leg, but essential you are winding up a punch, then you turn and punch him in the face, and than go for the leg, so its like you go back, fake, punch, than go back again.??? follow?
