so ive been a Nokia user for a long time, and in all Nokias there is an "Add To Name" feature.

say you have an incoming call from your Mom and she has a new number that you don't have yet. so the call comes in and its displayed as just numbers. then you can go to the RECEIVED CALLS LIST and see that number, and use "Add To Name" to add it to "MOM" in your phonebook.

i can't see this anywhere in my X820. its kinda ridiculous. so i choose a number and hit "Save --> Phonebook." then I thought i'd input "Mom" as name, EXACTLY the same spelling, uppercasing and all, as the entry i already have in my phonebook, but then the phone creates a new "Mom" entry.
So now i have TWO "Mom" entries, exactly the same spelling, with different numbers. so why cant i just add it to my original "Mom" entry??! do i have to write it down on a piece of paper, or memorize the new number, and THEN add it? its so complicated...

Same here. I have 2 "Justin" listing, same name, different numbers.

You hav to go to the original "mom" and add a new number under work, or hhome, or cell...there's like 5 options per listing. They don't simply jsut "merge"

    I got a Samsung X497
