Are wide-angle lenses the same thing as fish-eye lenses? Wide-angle is like panoramic?

This is a 24mm wide-angle Nikkor lens. Anyone know by any chance where i can find sample shots?

To answer your question, wide angle lenses come in different focal lengths. A "fisheye" lens is not the same as a 24mm lens. I've shot quite a bit with a 24mm lens, unfortunatly I can't post the pics...no scanner. I can tell you that the 24mm lens is a great wide angle lens for all around work. It's biggest advantage is that if you keep your camera level, all verticle lines (like a building) will remain verticle. If you tilt the 24mm lens up or down, you'll start to see the verticle lines distort a bit. A 20mm or wider lens will distort the verticle lines in a pic regardless if the camera is level or not. A "fisheye" lens is a good example of this. In my mind, an extreme wide angle lens like a fisheye has limited use.
