..said it's time they get a new workstation. Said board is closely knit-- about 40 regular users and we're all kinda close.

A few jokes were made about getting a Mac. There are about five diehard Apple crew, including me.

The Apple crew always get a lot of flames. My main argument for getting a Mac is having best of both worlds-- being able to install Windows now.

I'm curious though, what do you guys say that IS NOT the typical 'switch to Apple' response that makes people actually think about converting? I'm assuming you all know what the typical comments are.

That it's a refreshing experience, and there actually might be something to it just makes sense, and it just works? I can't think of a better time in the day when I get to try out a new mac application for example knowing that whoever developed it for the most part took a lot of time to make it make sense and simple yet full with features. That feeling on a windows platform stopped years ago for me.

You'll never convince a person just by talking about it, they have to experience it.

I usually say, "Here let me show you my Mac" then they are blown away with how fluid, and easy everything is.

yup, there are hordes of former-"MACS SUCK!!!" convertors (myself included) who, once using a Mac, switch over
