:rehashed: Grand Prix GTP/Regal GS
Last of the Chevy worthy of carrying the SS badge:
I'd say this was worthy too
The s-10 ss wasn't, now if it had come with a v8 then maybe (@ GM)
that new impala ss tv commercial sucks
The old impala ss had that badass magazine ad. "Darth Vader, your car is here"
They should call the new impala ss the impala xtreme
Sadly at least the impala ss got a supercharger, whereas the Xtreme is available with a 2.2l
I wish everyone with one of those trucks would drive it off a cliff.
And they shoulda done Jon Moss's version of the new impala SS
the fwd Ls1?
the torque steer woulda been funny at least
the first one of those supercharged 3.8's I see in a wrecker, I'm putting into my Beretta and putting a pulley on it (350hp in a 2800 pound car? yes please! I don't care if its fwd or not... its a lot easier than converting to RWD )
They should have just called the "new" impala the beretta or corsica instead of tarnishing the impala name
I love the way GM digs their own grave. Makes it too easy for me.
There's plenty of Grand Prix GTP and Regal GS in the wreckyard.
This ABORTION of an automobile makes me sick. Jon Moss needs to be shot for even THINKING of letting this pass as a successor to the real SSs.
The SS nameplate is dead to me now. There are no more cars worthy of having it in GMs lineup (except the Vettes, which never have or will have that designation)
i know that...
but in oregon, I don't see many of the supercharged engines laying about.
thats why i said the first one *I* see
No need to wait for it to get on a wrecker.
wait... what now?
Just grab one when some older person isn't looking.
"white boy stole muh supercharger!"
The funny thing is, they probably both run the same 1/4 mile times stock. People just assume the Caprice is fast because it has a V8 and RWD.
But it's the crown vic that is really slow
True, but in relative to what was available in 1996, the Impala SS was faster than most sedans at that time.
What engine did the S-10 SS have in it? The Vortec 4300?
