Clay and range- cheap ass 7-8 shot as cheap as you can get (in my case)

defence people like 00 buckshot, or even 01 I think.

Slugs are fun to blow into 5 gallon water jugs at the range. Other then that, i guess you can hunt with them. But you can also use the 00 buck.

People usually use bigger shells for geese, 3in or 3.5in. even 10ga.

Phesants, quail, smaller birds get the smaller shells. Some prefer 20ga for doves.

thats all i know. Im learning as I go.

alright, well from what i see at the can range, and hear from other people. they are definatly used for more then just hunting. A square 5 gallon water jug makes a hell of a bang, not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

And thanks for the backup, i am definalty still learning.

Anyone have a link to specialty shells, like the flamethrower, snare, shrapnel-packed, etc?

Those things scare the shit outta me, but I wouldn't mind popping a few off.

I have seen a few sites with those. They had some pictures of the different shells going off, the flamethrower shell looked nuts. They also had incendiary shells/slugs/bullets, that would be fun to shoot at a 1/8th full plastic gas can from 100 feet.
