Looking to get a stripped flattop, and the only thing that im unsure of is removing the barrel and handguard from the upper reciever. Anyone have any insight on removing them? Also, any good places to get a flattop with carry handle for a good price?

The handguard you have to pull back on the delta ring (the collar around the handguard and against the receiver, pull it to the receiver), then the hand guards pop out in two pieces. Should be easy once they are off.

there is an special wrench. u need to lock the upper in a vice with a action block to remove the delta ring. thats the thing that keeps the barrel on the upper.
