As I was researching information about what could be done wrong in terms of excercising my back, I read numerous times that the biggest mistake people make is puling with their arms. What are some tips to help isolate my traps/middle back and prevent my arms from doing too much work?

    My back routine:

    Widegrip Pullups 6-8x4 (bodyweight)
    Cable Rows 6x4
    Pulldowns 6-8x4
    Bent over BB rows 5x5
    HS Pulldown 8x3
T-Bar or Bent over Rows 6-8x4

Basically I need ANY real tips to help me with middle-back thickness.

Lower back is on dl/leg day. Instead of 3 varied excercises with different positioning, I guess Im supposed to do only one type of row? :hsugh:

lower back should be trained with hamstrings since they're synergists on most movements

I had two pinched nurves in my lower spine over two years ago. I dont want to push it. The doctor said that even though everything is properly healed, I still should be carefull.

controlled movements (don't jerk or swing at all) and concentrate on what your back is doing

could be that you have 6 exercises for lats and dont seem to pay much attention to your rear delts or traps
