if a srt4 is just a neon then

    a WRX/STI is just a Impreza
a EVO is just a Lancer

why doesnt anyone ever call the EVO or STI just a Impreza or Lancer? and rag on it just like the srt4 just being a neon?

Because everyone knows the base models of those cars suck.

but the STI and EVO offer marked improvement over the base models.

    The SRT-4 doesn't.

how doesnt the srt4 offer more? cuz its a domestic tuner and its competing with import tuners?!?!? evo 8 pushes 275hp stock and the sti pushes 300hp stock oh and they are also AWD which is an advantage over the srt4 which pushes 230hp which is front wheell only but see with the right mods it can reach over 450hp......heres some proof that an srt4 can reach over 450hp...actually it reached 500hp

I know inline-4s under boost can make nice high numbers. Honda's B-series has been doing it for a long time.

The EVO and STI are AWD and set up as quasi-race vehicles from the factory. They are very different machines from the vehicles they are based on. The EVO moreso than the STI.

The SRT-4 is simply a slightly hopped up Neon. I'd love to have 400+ hp in an AWD car. 400+ in FWD is :ugh:

well u dont have to worry about the srt4 for long cuz they r ending production with the 2005-2005.5 model year....next year the caliber comes out (which IMO is a wrong move by dodge)
