GUN Some questions about ARs...

Discussion in 'On Topic' started by Martin Atchet, Jul 11, 2007.

  1. I just got back from Ft. Knox and had some fun shooting m16A2s and such. I want to get myself an AR with those rails that you can put a foregrip on. I was wondering whats the best way to do it because I am not trying to spend a lot of money on it. I have heard you can get one for like $800 if you build yourself. Suggestions welcome.

I "think" you need special tools to do it. It's called a quad rail.

but something worth a damn get a m1 or m14.

but if your really really still want an M4 style ar 15

you can get a lower reciever. for cheap just about any where, and an upper reciever from CCA , or DPMS, or a number of other places.

You are probably referring to a quad pic. rail. For the good ones they are usually $150-$200. Good for mounting front grips, bipods, or a flashlight. I have all of the following mounted. ;)

  6. Yeah the picatinny rail so I can put a fore grip on there. Thats what I'm talking about. Anyways I want to build a whole one so I gotta do some research.
