    setup a makeshift studio in my living room, its not the best but it got the job done

    one strobe w shoot through camera left

    the link contains all of the shots, nothing was deleted

    Have the model stand about 6 feet from the sheet.

    flash glare on the glasses is fearsome

    move the flash outside family of angles.
    or
    have the model turn their face away from the light source, i.e. shoot narrow instead of broad.

    Not ironing the sheet shows the quality of a photographer you are.

    I think if you would put a flash behind them you could get them to separate from the background, black is not an ideal color for using other dark colors, or atleast it is not how you where doing it.

    meh.

    Harsh light either destroys the glasses, or makes it look like you rubbed oil on their faces before shooting.

    soften the light, move them away from the background and get a hair/seperation light coming from behind them, opposite the key light.

    true, this was just a test shoot, i wanted to see how brown backdrop would look

    for another time i'll get that taken care of
