We've got *some* rock but it's pretty few and far between, and it's ALWAYS covered in greasy ass mud.

Stranded? Hardly. Some people don't see the appeal of adding thousands of dollars of speed parts onto a car when it will already get you where you're going without said parts.

    :dunno:

    To each his own.

That sorta shit doesn't happen every time you go out. Breakage happens, but unless your rig is REALLY underbuilt or you don't know how to drive, you shouldn't break all that often.

    Eat shit :fawk:

I challenge you to find terrain more hardcore (In Florida) than what we run. You work for an offroad magazine, so your opinion doesn't count :fawk:

That's the way to do it, or build/buy a tube buggy. If you start wheeling and modifying a vehicle, it needs to be something you can afford to just completely total. Because even if it's in great condition you won't get jack shit for a lifted vehicle, and every dollar you put into that vehicle should basically be considered a complete loss.

There are tons of old beaters out there. If I were going to build a Jeep, I'd buy a YJ that didn't run, swap a Chevy 350 into it, put some better axles into it, and wheel the shit outta it. I'd have spent a lot less than what I've spent on my ZJ so far, that's for sure. I consider my ZJ a total loss.. I doubt I could sell this fucking thing for anywhere near what I owe on it.
