    nice pics. while the pictures look good technically, something doesnt work out for me, whether its the composition, angles, or focal length. I think that you would of been in a better position if you had a wide angle lens and were able to get in close to the subjects.
     
  4. Insted of focusing on the characters that they are supposed to be you focus on the actual person. :mamoru: I guess it's not too bad because you focused on some of the cuter girls. :bigthumb:

    Well, I tried focusing at the actual characters and their entire costumes first, but then because there were so many people all dancing around, and it made the pictures very "busy"...and since these subjects weren't looking at me, it seemed like there was no focus to the photo...:hs:

    I think it was difficult to get up close, because the subjects were only really performing when they were being judged in front of the judging area, and afterwards, they were just walking around normally. But I will try that next time, thanks!

    looks fun, too bad it wasn't later in the day. sun seems to have washed out a lot of the potential color.
