I did an e-session with the couple a few weeks ago. We got booted out of the venue before we could finish (need a permit to shoot there) so we returned to finish the session this past weekend. Here's a few of my favorites. No detail/cropped bodies shots as I did those already.

Nice...too much smoothing on her face in #3.

    Nice pics.

smoothing is fine on 3. In fact I like 3 and 4 since they de-emphasize her puffy just-got-my-wisdom-teeth removed cheeks.

Coloring is nice and has that romantic slightly glowy look so in vogue now.

4 has a nice pose, good feminine stance with her legs, well done. Has a nice feel to it, not creepy, not stalkerish, and not paparazzi. Just "secluded private moment" feel.

I'd make small framing adjustments for most of them, but its all minor stuff.
    basically the pics are :bigthumb:

Could have been my monitor at work made her glow a little more. It's not as bad here at home. Perhaps I'm also comparing it to his face and perhaps I'm just too damn picky. :wavey:

I'll throw in my 2 cents as this IS a Jcolman thread...and I have a severe man crush on you (and the gear you have) :hsd:

    1. I like it but I don't know about the chair in the foreground...I think it would have been a strong enough shot without it :dunno:
    2. I'll say I picked up this shot from a few pics I've seen on OTAP, but I find these work best as B&W and pano(ish) :dunno:
    [IMG] ibmegaflames
art is subjective and I can't say I dislike the shot :bigthumb:
    3. I like
    4. I kinda like except for the creepy angle her back is bending :noes:
    5. seems a little noisy on my monitor and the colors seem to be off :dunno: can't say that I know any different
    6. I REALLY want to know what happened to her left cheek, it's HUGE!!! (ibbadangle)
    7. looks a bit hot :dunno:

but hey, what do I know, I'm still learning myself :hsughno: visually I can't find anything wrong with the pictures and as a client I would be extremely pleased with these :bigthumb:

Thanks man. A little manlove is fine as long as we respect each other in the morning!

Here's a shot without the chair. I feel like the chair adds to the picture but that's just me. Ultimately it's the clients choice anyway but I'm considering making one of these pics into a canvas gallery wrap so I'm trying to get a consensus.

I need to crop it a bit to remove the plant on the left.

    and with the chair

I respect your manlove, but my only stipulation is a little cuddling afterwards :hs:

my vote is without the chair, but with this shot, her left cheek comes more into play with the aforementioned "wisdom teeth removal" :dunno: it would be a hard choice for me (as the female subject)

if you're going for a canvas look, again B&W...give me a sec to play around in LR and see what I can come up with :dunno:

    :dunno: subjective of course

I didn't clean up any of the blemishes on her face of course :o

I also did a B/W conversion but I didn't care for it as much. The skin tone was too close to the water tone and the shin bone is connected to the thigh bone and the ham bone is.....well, you get the idea. Besides, if I'm going to drop some bones on a canvas wrap it's going to be in color.

I don't know if its the resize or what but there seem to be some focusing issues

Probably the resizing. It's plenty sharp on my screen and zoomed in. I check each pic at 100% and delete those that aren't sharp enough for printing before I do anything else. His eyes aren't as sharp as hers but they're still sharp enough.

I was going to make a comment about that, but didn't want to be seen as trolling since it's not the main forum:rofl:
