taking an intro to photog class, assignment was to shoot anything in manual with no flash. needed to take 70 shots and narrow it down to 5.

here is what i have it narrowed down too, a couple shots are similar because i cant decide between which i want to use yet.

dont know if you are a complete noob to photography or you just happen to be taking an introductory class, but those pictures show a lot of potential if you really are just starting out.

i like 6 the most with 5 coming in a close second.

i'd choose 7 over 8 because there isnt anything interesting going on in that crystal globe in 8 that deserves all of the focus, but i really like what you were going for with it.

i agree 6 being the strongest and 5 coming close.

i wana know why you cut the feet off of your figures (except for 6 which actually works)?

    thanks for the input!

yea, intro to photog class, but i got my first dslr several months ago and since have been reading up a lot on photography and lurking here(ive posted stuff in the past just not often)

i was actually having a lot of difficult time trying to frame things the way id like and my ghetto rig posterboard doesnt offer much room to work with angles before i start seeing my blue wall or black table top, which is why i had to cut off the feet. had some of the stuff right at the edge of the posterboard :x ill keep trying different stuff/getting bigger posterboard for future assignments/practice.

5 would be better without the corner of that building to the right.

6 is nice. 5 is pretty cool too. 9 and 10 remind me of that funny thread a while back in the main.

All in all, if you're really just starting out,

thanks everyone for the input. im looking to go with 3, 5, 6, and 10, and trying to decide between 7 and 8 but leaning towards 7 with two toys remarks.
