was in the bench next to me. I was benching about 155 lbs and this guy was like 60 and benching like 225 lbs. At first i felt so shitty about myself, the guy was like 60 and benching a whole lot mroe than me, but then as he was doing his set, he got 2 reps in before he started yelling as loud as he could for help. I then quickly went over and helped him pull the bar up. EVERYONE was like :ugh:

yea point being i hate people that try to show off in the gym with weights that they can't really handle, i see alot of those fuckers around

i guess but still why do something like that if you are going to scream for help
he could have gone like 200 and still beaten me, but he prolly could have finished his set too

One of the gym teachers at my school had played college football. He was still a stout ass guy. He was like 5'10 and probally 200 lbs and would come in the gym and rep 345 like it wasn't shit. He was early 40s.

Along the same lines, my offensive line/gym coach was a pretty big guy in his late 50's and retired from the Army (played college football before that). He still cranked out reps of 335 on bench but I believe he used to do a lot more when he was younger. Also he could yell like it was his day job.

Quit fucking crying about it, just fucking give him a spot and continue with your workout, or are you there to critique everyone and give your .02?

That sounds like what he did, except he just posted a thread about it when he got home.

No need to be a dick. There's always the one guy who says in every thread OMG YOU'RE WEAKMINDED YOU SHOULD BE PAYING ATTENTION TO YOUR OWN WORKOUT. Sorry I have eyes and I tend to notice people doing stupid shit in between my own sets.

So the guy did 225 twice and missed the third rep. He didn't want to die, so he yelled for help. What's the problem?

What I do is, I look over the bench beside me and load the bar to the same weight. But I'll put on extra collars just so that the guy beside me knows that I'm lifting 6 more ounces than him.

What if the guy is benching more than 180lbs, then you'd be screwed.
