A&P Some of the standard filter diameter

    I know 77mm is one of the standard diameter, what other diameters can be commonly found?

    82? i hope thats not.

    anyway there used to be a standard, for every lens.
    its called SERIES filters, basically buy a few filters and the lenses would come with an adapter (hoods also had the series thread).
    no SERIES filter would be a match for any lens thread. im adding some felt to this one for a better fit

    I used to have a 82mm opening on a Lens... didn't even buy a filter for it, it was so expensive.
