Comments and criticism welcome..
I like the last one. minus the purple shit
is your subject the sky?
I like them. Its hard for many of us to critique this type of shot since yours are very good color and technically I'd say they are correct for the type of creative shot your trying to do. Nice work
What caused the color in the last one? Fertilizer or something?
ditto. it has a very haunting feel to it. kind of a "stephen kingish" look.
Oh and are these HDR or just some nice flash work on some of them? Long exposure I guess could also do that though. Very neat.
Too much editing.
using light that color
long exposure + lihgts
No, I don't think I would say any of the pictures are supposed to have a defined subject. I will explain my thought process in taking these, I am bored on Saturday night, My room mate and I decide to make a trigger for our cameras to take longer exposure shots, we then decide to go buy some lights at walmart, we get everything together, then go out to the country, find this road and start shooting some things we think are interesting. This is what we get. Next step we go to a bar , have a drink, then go back out to the river, and take a few more shots. That was prety much it.
Well I'll say it turned out pretty cool and made otherwise boring daytime subjects get a neat feel.
Though just recently my local library is featuring photography from some photog who did a whole series on what I call really well composed shots of corn fields and corn silos which I also considered very boring, but who am I? My photos aren't on display in my own room at a library in a large city.
