my polk ex3650's are crapping out on me (scratching/distortion), so im gonna look for a nice set of 6.5" components that actually desire my needs now while the time is right.

im looking for a set that will play perfectly fine off my deck HU (60w x 4 mofset) and ideal for daily driver sound quality and can get loud as well. my budget is $200 and probably gonna order thru ebay or www.onlinecarstereo.com

im looking for crisp and clear mids mainly, i have the subwoofers for lows. ill eventually amp them with a 4-ch along with my 6x9's with 40w rms or so. what do you guys recommend?

    crap, didnt see that one.

instead of creating another thread, ill just post my question here.

i have an 4-ch amp (alpine) that does 40rms per channel and gonna be hooking up this unit to all 4 speakers in my vehicle. would 18ga be sufficient enough or should i go with 16ga and have head room? *ill be running the speaker wire behind the deck* its gonna be about 15ft distance from trunk to headunit.

I wouldn't run 18 or 16ga to anything in my system, but I'm WAAAAY into overkill. I went with 12ga Stinger cable from amp to crossovers. Bought it on ebay from a seller named "bag-boy". got it super fast.

Sorry, meant to say I'm running Polk db6500s all around.
