I took about 200 today, I have to take 4300 more and get it finished by Friday
Nice work as usual, man.
How many actual pieces do you have to photograph?
thanks! really 4300, I wholesale jewelry
a CP or black foam core at the top might reduce the reflection on the tops if that bothers you.
That Dean Collins video set I mentioned has a great tutorial on photographing a watch with a similar problem
details on how you shot this?
Looks nice man. First item works more for me as you see more detail. On my macbook the second seems like I lose some detail on the sides.
what lens and set up are you using?
btw, good work!
Like Mojito said, I'd go with a CP to reduce the glare.
Thanks. I used a CPL and it didn't appear to really do much, oh well, they don't have to be perfect anyway. if you are interested, these are mystic topaz .925 silver pendants.
yea sucks like hell
thanks! 60mm macro with 2 softboxes and strobes
thanks! yea, its hard to keep the BG pure white w/o blowing out some of the silver
i set up a soft box on the left and overhead of the jewelry, using two flashes in each soft box. there was no editing done in LR or photoshop, just cropping.
you might try only side lighting or putting some black cardboard over the center of the object on the softbox, should help minimize reflections
