    Bought my AK today. :wiggle:

The whole deal was all of this for $450:

Closer look at the gun.. handguard & stock don't match, but a quick shopping trip on Tapco or CTD will take care of that:

    Made in Romania:

And the best part.. SAR-1 (albeit very blurry.. camera couldn't focus on this at all for some reason):

And for good measure, the 5 round clips for my M44 that also arrived today (20 for $16.99):

Sorry for the huge pics.. too lazy to download something to batch resize, and even more too lazy to do it one by one in Paint. :hs:

Could you email me larger pictures by any chance? These ones aren't quite cutting it.

I've got an extra stock/handguard set off of a Romy-G kit. It's refinished and everything if you want it for like 30 shipped :dunno:

I did say in my 2nd post that I was too lazy to do resizing. :mamoru:

I just worked 9 hours in the cold and reek of jet fuel and engine oil. Have mercy. :hs:

Stock and handguard both are going. Handguard is fukkerd up pretty good.. dunno that refinishing it would help either.

It's not quite that glossy in real life, I think I used a semi-gloss polyurethane coat. Also, I have all the metal peices, they just are getting pained black right now, the original paint was kind of wearing off on them.

It's really easy to swap it. For the buttstock you just unscrew it and pull it out. The toughest part is removing the upper handguard from the gastube. It confused a lot of people but here's how to do it:

you need to thread that muzzle ASAP.

Also, I think your Mosin clip is loaded wrong, doesn't look from the way the rounds are tilting that the rims match up properly :o

    and wtf commercial x54R?

blindarrow, did you order the clips from carfan on eBay? If so, I hope they work better for you than they do for me.

These work great. Those on eBay I'd heard bad things about, though..
