Some goose action shots, thought ya might like em. Critique?

Well, I was on a walk today, camera ready as usual (OK, totally unusual but lucky), when I happened to spot some geese. Boring, I know, but the pics are pretty cool. I was taking a pic of one at full zoom when he happened to go insane just as I took the pic. Zoomed out fast and hoped my settings (manual) were good enough, which is why they aren't so perfectly sharp or exposed. Oh well, I need to get my auto settings working.

With no further yammering from me, here ya go.

First one, I didn't expect him to go crazy

As for post processing, all I did was some levels stuff to get them some contrast and less.... white. Here's one from the other day, because people tend to like my action shot stuff :coold:

Edit: if anyone has any advice about how to better photograph this sort of thing, LMK.

Polorizer would have helped a lot. Would have taken the glare off the water so it wasn't so bright.

Thx. I've got one for my short lens, but not my telephoto. And I dunno if I could have kept the shutter speed high enough to handhold with a polarizer :(
