    watching people do that exercise makes me cringe. not that its bad, it would just dislocated both of my shoulders out of their sockets and my arms would be dangling limp like PurEvl's cock if Carmen Electra offered to suck on it.

    It CAN be bad for the shoulders.

    I can't do that exercise anymore. I used to behind the head military press like a MOFO in high school. Now I don't know if that's the reason I have had 3 shoulder injuries in my early 20's, BUT I do know that when I try to do it my shoulders don't feel right and get some funny sounds going on.

    Just the same, I know dudes in their 40's in the gym that have done it all their life with no issues. For me, the frequency of it causing problems with people isn't worth the risk.
    Having injured each shoulder already, I can say that it sucks balls. Trying to fall alseep is the worst :wtc:

    if you're doing them seated it's one of the worst exercises you can do

    Yeah, I have heard they are bad all together, but if you are going to do them it's best to do it standing rather than sitting. Why is this?

    When your back is supported the bench acts as an external stabilizer which allows your prime movers to continue to perform even after the scapular and glenohumeral stabilizers have fatigued.

    shit, i do this all the time. i have labrum tears in both of my shoulders and it doesn't hurt at all.

    i'm going to stop now though.
