Love em or hate em, picked these up today.

    hey.fm
    drum.fm
    rofl.fm
    theinternet.fm
    hax.fm
    h8t.me
    h8t.us
    nicetwits.net

There are actually some really good .fm ones still available, but at $70 bucks a pop, they don't come cheap. (I like .FM's. web 2.0 era has helped the Federated States of Micronesia, IMO - just doing my part )

I'm going to add these to my portfolio and probably do some gimmicky things with the h8t (paging fmyscript dudes). eg. dont.h8t.me or whatever. I'll develope the real ones all in good time. :naughty: I've got so many ideas, I could buy domains all day long. I'm just not real good at turning them into money yet.

It still amazes me the level of domain squating out there.

If you guys want to see what I'm squating, here you go http://mudmedia.com/domains.html

There is still one more domain out there I want, well need to figure out anyway for twitter. Maybe I can incorporate one of my existing ones. We shall see....:noes:

    I like hey.fm and rofl.fm

But be careful with these TLDs... unless you have a plan for developing a site, it could be quite a waste of money since there are so many TLDs out there now, word.tld doesn't really mean very much or carry very much weight. :o

No. The FM's were 70 bucks, the rest less than 5.

I usually hold onto a domain for about a year and if it does nothing for me, then I'll toss it. Now that I'm more 'bussiness' oriented these days, I'm going to do my best to get some of them off the ground.

In response to the word.tld comment dazmanultra, I totally agree with you 100%. Still, every single .FM I picked up today was not avail. in any other openly available TLD. I know Canadians have residency requirements, e.g. I always wanted bohi.ca, and it was available for the longest time, but somebody has it now. The lack of availability of domains tells me that somebody somewhere thinks they are of value, so I don't know. After my 2nd forum is up and running, I'm going to finish coding my PHP script for ijustateataco.com and then start figuring out how to usher in a new web 2.1 era with hey.fm and rofl.fm. I've always wanted a music related site and I'm a pretty talented drummer, so drum.fm was a good pick up for me. (Pepsi, almost went to music school at western. nay, I digress.) hax.fm has it's uses. The .net/.us/.me were dirt cheap, and I'm surprised nobody picked up h8t yet.

Visit ryan.me. That's my name, so I typed it in earlier just to see what was going on since some dude has a presence on ted.me. Godaddy looks like it's going it's own squatting along with sedo.

The domain business is like the Virginia Pilots Association (boat pilots) - good ol' boys network as fuck.:eek3:

I'm launching my new blog shortly. I was planning on going with k4rp.com Now I'm not so sure...:mamoru:

During our conversation my friend, I picked up sing.fm

Now, I'm afraid, my level and the scope of my ideas have far exceeded my programing capabilities.

(Course, this all means jack if I just sit on these things. :squint:)
