This guy is training for a toughman style charity contest that my school puts on every year( KA Fightnight). He is catching on fast. The people that fight in this thing dont ever have any training. I think he is gonna wreck them.

I wanted him to go 100% with someone though since its in 2 weeks. This is from the second round. I have all of it but this is the fun part.

This one is me going against a 190lbs guy and learning why weight classes exist. He is a southpaw and that just makes it akward and he hits SO FREAKIN' HARD. Good hands too.

I get leveled 3 times in the first round(3 min). I didn't feel up to going 100% for 2 more rounds. I was hurting.

And yes, I know im not that great of a boxer. All my wins are by submission.

And yes I know that we are training on hard floor. I can PM you my paypal if you wanna donnate for more mats.

You gotta get that chin down on your chest or someone will knock it off.

    I know :(

    I'm working on it.

I'm trying to bring my striking game up on par with my submission game.

They weren't particularly fast shots, just hard. Hes a strong guy.

And everyone of them was right on the chin. I seem to have a arona-eque fight stance :(

Just keep working it. You're not that bad, just some bad habits.

    Yea...nothing that can't be broken.

I hate boxing at my dojo. Everyone there has at least a 10" reach advantage and typically a 30 lbs weight advantage. Sparring for me is basically just avoiding being hit.

I noticed that right off the bat. Your head is straight up when u come im swinging. Not good.

When you practice, trying biting down on your shirt. It will help keep your chin down.

When the head is down just look at your opponent with the top of your eyes.

    guy with black shirt
    1. you load up your punches
    2. you telegraph
    3. your guard needs work
    4. you dont recoil alot of the times and when you do its very slow
    5. needs to work on eye contact because he doesnt keep his eye on his opponent and loses sight of them alot

    guy that gets knocked down
    1. TELEGRAPHING LIKE WHOA
    2. Punches are loaded up and you probably feel like the punches are strong but the reason for that is that with your punches none of the streghnth is penetrating through they are feeding back alot your punches should go through your opponent.
    3. your upper cuts need work because your swinging them your not supposed to do that
    4. you need to work on your guard
    5. stop linning up with some one and russing forward work on your foot work if some one is coming str8 at you dont run back and dont run forward unless you want a brawl. try circling. alot of those situations where you got knocked out was because you got into a brawl. work on your jab and foot work if he goes forward circle around to his weak side. cut him off and limit his striking. if hes a righty circle to his left
    6. work on combinations your striking is very predictable you will throw the same punch consequtively far to many times.
    7. learn to block and weave

you need alot of work but w/e your new

then use that to your advantage nothing is a disadvantage unless you make it so. learn how to jam up their punches and use more compact inside fighting techniques. thats the only way you can beat some one with superior range that or learn techniques that increase your range
