They're pretty good about keeping their website updated, so these should be in stock right now.

Also, I ordered a RRA BCG from them on Tuesday and received it today. Had no problems with them at all.

I think someone asked awhile ago why DPMS had this bad rep and nobody could substantiate it. Everything was just hearsay.

Sure it's not "mil-spec" but it hasn't given me any problems.

most likely they have a bad rep because a lot of their guns for sale at gun shows are random parts guns put together by retards. I'm sure that they also don't score high on "the chart."

At the same time, most internet commando's, myself included are rocking noveske barrels, Young chrome bolts, and VIS uppers, so pretty much everything is shit compared to that.

if the rifle is going to be a safe queen or not shot very often, DPMS is fine.

i wouldnt take one to a carbine class, but thats just me.

  17. I've found this to be the case with pretty much all bandwagon hate. DPMS makes fine rifles.

Why? I have, and shot 3 3-gun matches with mine. No problems at all.

because ive read more stories about them failing :dunno: some of their barrels are marked "5.56 match" wtf is that? also read stories about their charging handles breaking because they're not made properly.

  22. Lots of people have heard/read stories about all sorts of stuff. As to the 5.56 match, what's the problem? Maybe it's a tighter chamber 5.56 barrel. Maybe it's really a .223 match barrel that's safe to shoot 5.56 out of. There are lots of reasons they could mark a barrel as "5.56 match" and none of them mean the barrel is somehow inferior. Also, what part of the charging handle is breaking? Does DMPS make their own charging handles that only they use? How many stories have you read about their charging handles breaking? I have read stories about other manufacturers' charging handles breaking. Maybe DPMS made them too.

I think the only issue is you can get full rifles with 5.56 chambers, .223 chambers and also some match chambers. People have problems feeding cheap range 5.56 ammo thru .223 chambers and complain about the gun.

and I've read tons of stories about all other kinds of guns failing. My charging handle is the same as any other I have seen, my gun is marked "5.56". My brother in law's Del-ton has had many more problems with fewer rounds than my DPMS.
