Picked up a PNY model from ebay (tight budget). I learn now after graphic intense games always crash to the desktop or reboot after about 5 minutes that they have a horrendous cooling problem. Opening my case and blowing my desk fan directly onto the card = no crashing, so I'm pretty sure heat is the culprit. Is there any other simple way to remedy the problem? I'm this close to just saying fuck it and getting a 9600 Pro but cash is still tight. :sad2:

Clean up the inside of your PC (make sure your cables are out of the way) so you get good airflow. Might not fix it but it can make a big difference, and this is completely free to do.

If you have fans in there, try to reposition them to get the maximum amount of air flowing in the front and out the back of your computer (and over your video card in the process).
