Here at work we have tons of old images used for our catalog that we want to archive on DVD's and CD-R's. The problem is that if we need to locate these images at a later date we don't want to sort thru all the CD's. Is there a software available that will keep track of what is on each CD so we can search for a file inside the software and it will tell us what CD to grab?

I use a program called CD Bank. I'm sure a Google search will give you a link to it.

I have all my CD's in the database in that program and as you add discs you can give each one a label and it keeps a record of all the files on each disc.

You can sesarch in the program for what you want.

Your question doesn't sound too complicated. Why don't you put certain pictures on certain discs and then label the CD's accordingly? CD-R's are a dime a dozen. Unless you are going to archive gigs of pictures...

Ahh I see. At first I was confused but then realized you wanted a folder/list saying all the stuff on the folder. Label Cd's is the best bet.
