First shots wiht the new softbox. Couldn't get anyone to cooperate so I just shot myself. A bit of a pain in the ass since i had to manually get focus by judging the distance from me to camera then make adjustments (Off camera trigger isn't long enough).

Anyway, I'm more or less pretty pleased. Softbox camera right, pretty close to my face, then another strobe behind me (sometiems to left, sometiems to right) through an umbrella. Both had 540ezs triggered via catcus triggers that worked 100% of the time.

Excuse my disheveled appearance, I had just gotten home from work... they are also a bit yellow, I didn't do much PP on this, just removed the blue (a bit too much it seems) again this is more about the LIGHT than focus, color or anything else.

Yah again, focus was hit or miss since i was doing it manually by judging distance from me to camera. It was also dark out so not much to see in the BG.

i don't like the half lit face, thats just me though :dunno:

some look sharper than others, 3 looks sharpest.

were these manual focus or AF?

    lighting looks a bit harsh

ignoring #4 cause it looks like a mistake, I like them all but the last one. I think the rear light is just too harsh. And in number 2, I think your umbrella back there did not fire.

    time for some potrait HDR:mamoru:
