How many ounces a day is that? How much do you weigh?

The high fructose corn syrup in soda is terrible for you. Eliminating soda and drinking water is probably the #1 way to lose weight without exercising. If you're looking to lose weight without working out, this is a great way.

    200 calories per can * 6.5 (average) = 1300 cals.
    1300 cals per day * 7 = 9100 cals

Theoretically, about 2.5lbs per week, not to mention the other benefits from not drinking caffeine and sugar throughout the day.

By the way, I suggest you start lifting as soon as you can because while your at a heavier weight you can pull bigger numbers in the gym :dunno:

Keep telling yourself that  2000 calories of junk food vs. 2000 calories of quality food every day... which would you be better off with? Tough question.

Yeah, but 2000 calories is 2000 calories no matter how you slice it. Sure, there are healthier choices of foods, but as far as weight gain or loss, intake - output = weight gain/loss.

Theoretically yeah, but if he is consuming more than his maintenance calories, then cutting out the 1300 calories a day might just keep him at his maintenance caloric intake. It all depends on how much food he is eating too.

If he's maintaining with that diet, and cuts out 1300 calories, he will lose the weight.

that was my overall point, but I was just saying that IF he were eating more than his maintenance calories, then cutting out 1300 might not make him lose any weight.
