thanks man. i am really liking this thing. I want to trade my d300 and 17-55 for another d700 asap. I didnt think the difference was gonna be sooo apparent. But the VF and the iso range is soooo mucho better.

and oh yeah shot with el cheapo lens - $225 tamron 17-35 2.8-4... This lens is a fantastic deal. its simply stunning. Way sharper in the corner than my 16-35L ever was.

I love my D300, but I use the D700 every time, the first time. The way the prices are coming down, I'll probably add a D3 by the end of this year or start of next year. That way, I can have 3 lenses mounted and ready to go. Gotta love that FF and ISO range.

if you are a professional you will not drink when you are working, no ifs and or butts. I do not drink when i am working at all, unles sthe client wants me to have a beer with them as a celebratory drink. But thats it.

Or at least, don't drink in front of the clients. Its fine to hit your hip flask every trip to the bathroom, right? That's still professional.

yea i noticed that too... is that wide open on that lens?

Looks like a wide angle or almost fisheye. If that lens is doing that i'd say its pretty bad. :dunno:
