    because of the caliber .357 oppose to the popular DE .50 or .44

    I seriously doubt it.

    It is because they are overpriced to begin with, and that one is used. He figures he will start the bididng low, and it will go up from there.

    the last show i went to they had .357 was 650-800 while the 44,50 were up in the 800-1100 price range :dunno:

    not sure, but if i had to guess......

    1. it's 357

    2. it's prolly been shot.................ALOT!!

    3. it's used

    4. it might be one of the frames that can't be converted to the larger calibers.

    5. they need some quick money

    as i said, i don't know. but, if i were forced to guess, any one/combo of those would be the answer.

    The .357s have always been cheaper than the .44 and .50 calibers. And that is an older model, it may very well be non-compatible with the larger calibers.
