You get more tacticool points for Aimpoints. Aimpoints battery will last a bit longer and is built more durable. Will that matter for most people? No.

ultradot makes a very good tube sight. It is the choice of bullseye shooters because you can adjust the size of the dot. Because of this I think it would be really good on a rifle.

The T1 just doesn't make sense to me on a AR. You need a really tall mount to get it to eye level. At that point it would make more sense to run a bigger tube to get a bigger FOV. I guess people are more concerned about the T! sexy on a AR than the practicality. T1 guys ibbutthurt. I do think the T1 is awesome on handguns, strait stock shotguns, and strait stock rifles. Just not on AR's

A ultradot on a larue mount I think would be pretty awesome.

its not like you're going to be squinting through the tube. with both eyes open it's a floating dot.

Yes on the short range targets your going to be shooting two eyes open and see the dot float kind of like a occluded eye sight. Where it maybe more of a issue is the intermediate range where you close or squint one eye. I'm guessing that enough people work around it so whatever. For a primary optic on top of a AR I would want a big tube.
