:wavey: Game looks hard as fuck, and plays similar to Monster Hunter. I am so in.

also, I have yet to play a bad Atlus game.

it's apparently brutal when it comes to difficulty.

I almost tagged this at gamefly but went with Afrika instead. I'll give it a go later on though most likely.

Looks cool, but will wait for reviews. Hope it's good though because I'd love another (non-shitty) RPG for the PS3

been out in japan and europe for months and has been pulling in 7s 8s and 9s for reviews.

It will probably get slaughtered in US reviews due to difficulty though.

Ask yourself - do you like Monster Hunter.

if you do, odds are you will like demon's souls

Never played it, though I always thought it looked cool too :dunno:

Difficulty doesn't bother me though, games have become way to easy since SNES days.

    too true.

I guess I should have said that the difficulty was reminiscent of oldschool NES/SNES games.

Can die in a few hits, dying results in losing all Exp and a skill point from your highest level skill, etc.

Definitely in on this. I'm hoping I can wait until the 13th, so I can get in on that b2g1 at Toys R Us along with Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend.

I for one look forward to this unforgiving difficulty. I'm sick of playing games that are closer to interactive stories than they are tests of mental reflex and problem solving. This should quench my thirst wonderfully.

Never played monster hunters, but the trailers give me the impression it's something like Oblivion meets Shadow of the Colossus. Would you say that's a fair assumption?

I'll check it out once the holiday rush is over, in 2010 :hs: Too many big games in between now and then though that have priority.

Demon's Soul DOES look pretty damn cool though. I like the gothic art style.

Every time you lose a life the game automatically withdrawls $5 from your bank account and forwards it to your dad under the subject line "ballet lesson rainy day savings".
