the gf and i have been planning on doing a few different series of books. one is about a robot and his general adventures through his robot civilization (yes, the humans are all dead) while trying to uncover a plot to destroy his world.

so aside from a webcomic, anyone have anything published? or at the very least a limited self-publish? we're trying to decide which way to go with it. ideas?

IN for the answer to this, i've got a comic with a couple of issues written and drawn but no publisher, its also incredibly dumb.

same here (not actually lazy - i put in about 1-3hrs of sketch time - when i'm not working, plus i do my OTdrawings for practice)
been writing ideas and still 'working out' on my style
i did apply way back when image started (but i was a lee/mcfarlane clone), plus i was in college, so i really didn't have the money to up and leave.

right now my friends think it's a good idea to start out as a webcomic, then 3-6 months later put out t-shirts/mouse pads/etc.. and then put out a collection(s), do a lot of local conventions, and do a lot of in-store comic book signings.

i have 2 main stories fleshed out, 1 being about 12 issues, the other is a 4 part graphic novel.

as for background i took a lot of drawing course in hs/college/univeristy
    took some design/art history/etc..
also took writing fiction classes, plus i have a friend who's an english major and enjoys writing (plus he's into comics).

    System of aggression
    What did it lead to?
    Global robot depression
    Robots ruled by people
They got so much aggression that we just had to kill them
had to shut their systems down

I'm thinking about writing a webcomic about a really disgruntled man,
    Calling it V for Vendetto.

If you're going to write a web comic about me the least you can do is make it enjoyable. Put some passion into your frontin'!
