Thought it might be interesting to see if anyone has any other talents that go along with their creative side. Mine is music;I play guitar in a semi-successful rock band.

Just so you know, it's considered improper etiquette to drink tea with the bag still in the cup.

What I do is design toys for amusement parks. Currently I'm doing a line of Harry Potter stuff for the new park opening this Summer at Universal Studios, Orlando. But I do stuff for parks all over the country.

I draw and do a little painting. Haven't sat down to draw anything serious in forever though. :(

Starting to paint a little more though.

I have to come up with some creative golf shots from time to time :dunno:

Video production can be very demanding, creatively speaking, and it's my 9-5 job so photography is my "fun" creative outlet.

Render isn't great either and big white area was for other bits and bobs for the presentation.

What's the black box? Didn't make a roof for your stage?

Skylight lighting environment. I guess that's the skylight?

Come to think of it, I think the roof was dark.

Ah well. I still like it.

Back when I did 3D I would build the lightboxes above to get that nice reflection across the surface and link the directional lights to them.

Perhaps I should have gone with a custom light setup then. However, I needed to do it quickly though as I was running out of time fast so I went with a preset :)

Plus, each full render took over an hour at 4962x3507. I don't think that box showed up in the test renders :hs:

Oh ya I did 3D modelling as well. I forgot about that.

Here is a car I made for a school project. Complete interior, engine bay, rigged up suspension.

A Chopper I made for fun. It was a work in progress.... I never did finish some details and shit.

Well, in the 3D scene they would just be white planes. Just something for the surface to pick up & reflect. This was way back in 3DsMax 4, so I'm sure you can actually make a surface project light in the newer apps out there.

    not me.

I suck at music and all fine art forms.

I'm pretty athletic though. Play really competitive ice hockey, was into powerlifting/bodybuilding for a long time, and once my foot heals i'm gonna be doing biking/running duathlons...

Interesting! Looks low impact and functional - what did you model and render in?
