He has to fight someone good now who could it be..
Maybe ken shamrock?
I'd be down for a kimo fight
Wes Simms or Paul Buenetello
Ken Shamrock would be a good idea.
Eventually Kimbo is going to need to fight a wrestler, too.
Maybe Mark Coleman?
Mark Coleman would be a fucking awesome fight for Kimbo
He'd definitely take him down and rough him up, but he's not much of a finishing threat, so we'd have to see Kimbo suck it up and get beat on for 5 minutes until coleman gassed.
It'd be a good test of his ground defenses, ability to soak up damage, heart, and cardio.
if coleman has any speed left, which he probably does, he would utterly destroy kimbo
I want to see him fight Gannon again.
ah yes, that's probably who it will be...
I just dont want it to look like whoever is managing kimbo is trying to milk paydays before they send him to the wolves...
brock lesnar lol
I agree. This may not be the best fight I just personally want to see what he can do to Gannon now. This is a fight that would light a fire under Kimbo like none other at this point.
another fight that does nothing for him.
his fans will still like him and the cynics will still bitch about him fighting noone.
It would be a well rounded legit opponet for someone of Kimbo's experience. Much more well rounded than anyone else he's fought to date. He's a combined 5-2 with his pro/am fights.
again, I agree. I just personally want to see this fight after what happened last time. Im guessing it wouldnt do much for him but I would love to see this happen being that it was really his only street fighting loss. He probably would roll gannon now and I would like to see that.
I do agree that sometime within his next 2-3 fights we should see him really step up the level of his competition but fact of the matter he really just started his MMA career, he should be allowed to get few fights under his belt. Also, if they give him somebody with too much experience it is likely to be blocked by the commission.
Right, but then you will get Dana talking about how he got stomped in the UFC by a nobody and the TUF noobz will eat that shit up.
Well rounded or not, in good shape or not, Tank is a name and he beat him. Also remember this was a fight put together by Cage Fighting Fury for last summer. EliteXC probably had very little work to actually do to make that fight happen.
Kimbo needs to keep fighting names, whether they are 10 years past their prime or not. It is just hard to do because Elite has a very small heavyweight stable and they need to bring these guys in.
Shamrock would be an awesome litmus test for Kimbo. I think its a fight he can win and it will gain him some legitamicy.
who else did he lose to besides gannon?
I believe that is Gannon's record.
oh, makes more sense now.
I'd pay to see Kimbo on the next TUF
Ron Van Clief
EliteXC will give him someone lame or someone who should probably retire. The guy looks like he could do some damage in the division, but he wont get a chance to b/c his tough guy image will only land him freak-show fights.
Gannon would be a perfect next fight for him. Avenge a loss while not getting a huge step up in competition.
thats not true. kimbo is still inexperienced, they don't want to throw their investment to the wolves. he has to work his was up the skill ladder here and that takes time.
