So when should i drink muscle milk

    I just bought the 18'pak' from costco (I hope I got a good price @ 25 bucks) I work out at school between class so Im limited on my pre/post meal. I have a chicken breast cut up over salad with light italian dressing and I have muscle milk. Which should I eat/drink pre/post workout?

    heres what i am asking: I can take a chicken breast/salad and a muscle milk to school. Which should I eat pre workout, and which should I eat post workout?

    I get done with accounting at 11:30 I eat, then start lifting at about 11:45-50, until about 12:50-1pm when I have 80 minutes of yoga. sooo, which do i eat pre/post. salad/chicken breast or muscle milk

    To get cut which is what you sound like you are wanting, I would eat the chicken/salad for lunch and drink the muscle milk with it. Drink the protein shake directly post-workout. Protein in between classes would be prime too like at 900 or 930.

    EDIT: You would be better off drinking the protein shake at like 4.

    I am starting a new diet tommorow. I am upping my calories ( i think i eat about 1100-1400 right now) I hope it doesnt translate into fat - it shouldnt becuase I am extremely active. per week: MT 4 hrs, BJJ 2hrs, yoga 2hrs, lift 2hrs, and polymetrics/fighters training 2hrs.

    then wtf did you buy it for then? Like i said, take it at like 4. Or eat dinner at like 5 and drink shake at 7 or 8. :bigthumb:

    Bought it to eat at home :dunno: I bought the muscle milk to take pre/post workout but I still havent gotten a clear answer. :dunno:

    Drink MM post workout to feed your body those nutrients that it is craving at that time.

    Don't forget that your body can only absorb 12.5 grams of protein at a time, so you need to take 1/8th of a scoop of whey.

    Also, has anyone informed you of the browning method yet?

    Well generally it's said to wait until you shit out the protein that you have already processed, this way there will be no protein backup. You don't really want to have excess protein in your intestines and stomach because what will happen is the protein will actually cause 'pits' in your stomach lining and eventually eat it's way through.
