i know someone at work on this diet. Hes 5'10" 230 and wants to get down to 200.

the lunches he brings are so small, its a VERY VERY SMALL bowl of soup, 1 slice of wheat bread, lots of romaine lettuce with 2 Tablespoons of fat free dressing.

the only thing nutri-system supplies is the extremely tiny microwavable "bowl" of soup. :ugh2:

anyone else try this? I'm not going on it, just looking for opinions. I'm saying this guy is probably eating 1500 - 2000 cals a day and looks like he would be starving.

The meals look balanced to me. The only reason that diet helps people lose weight as far as I can tell is portion control.

100% agree, all these plans Nutrisystem, weight watchers, etc all just focus on portion control and people act like it's rocket science. eat less calories and lose some weight until your metabolism bottoms out and they give up cause results slow or stop and they start eating pizza by the box again and blow up huge and fat and then start all over again, lol.

My parents went on it for a while. They have a few Dinners that were pretty damn good :yum: But the breakfasts and most of the snacks and lunches, etc. were crap. I used to steal their dinners and use them as pre workout snacks... they could never stick to it.

Overpriced bullshit if you ask me. The only stuff worth a damn in the month deal are the dinner portions and some of the lunches. The rest of the stuff sucks. If you try and buy the dinners individually they want like $5.00 a piece. :ugh:

fucking nasty , I would need food too bad. I don't see how starving yourself would be beneficial in any way whatsoever, unless you were like 400 pounds maybe :mamoru:

You get to pick what they send you. I guess he picked nothing but soups :dunno: They have a beef stew and a chicken parmesan in those little things that are pretty damn tasty. It's just that you have to eat 2 to even feel anything. :greddy:

this is the new hottness in the diet scam world. Also diet pills are exploding big again. I'm seeing way more volume of diet stuffon TV since the new year, it's probably the best marketing time for those companies.

I could see how they would work for people who don't want to make the effort of finding the right food to eat themselves.

If you properly follow their diet recommendations, you are responsible for adding your own protein and low GI carbs to the diet...

The food they supply is only about 500 calories or so, and the rest of the calories you are supplementing through adding your own blanced diet of carbs/protein/fats. probably a 2000-2500 calorie diet fir most people, which is a way to lose weight when you are sedentary. Not the most ideal method, but it works for lazy people.
