I know i said last time was my final layout, but after the shitty reviews you all gave it... i got phasm to help me out. He came up with it, and i made it. It's still not 100% done, but the concept is there. The only really major thing left to do is the xubees about to end (currently a marquee, but i'll get a javascript scroller up and running later on).

    Thoughts? :wiggle:

Definitely looks better, to be honest my biggest problem is all the yellow shit on the white background. Hurts my eyes.

Another thing that bothers me... You have XUBEES in the top left all big and shit... then you have XUBEES [about to end] all big in the middle of the page. Then you have CURRENT XUBEES a little smaller a few lines down...

Your overall design lacks hierarchy. Size, placement, moving marquees etc all demand attention and I don't know where the fuck to look. But overall I'm not sure how crucial it is to a site like this.

/btw I'm more of a designer than a web guy so take this all with a grain of salt.

I agree with the yellow and the white, and I have not looked at it on a regular monitor, but on a 15 inch wide screen laptop, there is too much scrolling for my tastes

i see what you're saying, but i thought of it as a slow transition to the main content of the page. :dunno:

to me the xubees about to end, is larger than your logo and draws your attention away from everything else, almost too busy

agreed, might be a bit too large. Maybe if i make it 60-75% of the h/w it is now, it'll look better. Somewhere between the size of the Xubees in the top left and "current xubees" on the page content.

that scrolling thing is annoying. Make it user controlled. Oh, and redo everything about the scroll

Okay, i got the jquery going for login, and forgot password. I also got the scroller up and running. I've padded some padding to the content section for every page except for the homepage (i like the way the boxes fit on the homepage).

    Any other helpful pointers?

have you tested it in IE

there is one item to the far right on your scroll bar on ie and you have to scroll to the right to see it

and even viewing on a 19 inch 1280X1024 I still think the upper is taking up way too much room, you only get to view one line of current xubees
