Thought it was ok. Second one was better but the effects in 3 were good.
Famke Jansen looked way too old though.
Good, not great. Not how I would have done it, but decent enough. 2 > 3 > 1
i would have prefered to see characters actually from the comics rather then all the random mutants in the movie.
also, i wish angel played a bigger role.
overall, i found it quite entertaining.
As an X-Men fan... it was ok. As a movie goer, it was great.
Didn't read on the dark phoenix saga but is that really how it goes ? most of them all died ?
I loved the movie though
That was nothing like the Dark Phoenix saga in the comics.
As for my POV, I thought the movie was ok. The direction and the acting was fine, but the script kinda suck imho. They moved too far out of line with the comics for me, which would have been fine if the writing could compensate, but it never really lived up to its potential. From beginning to end I really hoped for more. For me 2>1>3, but it wasn't that bad a movie. Its not like I left the theatre hoping for my money back.
Only good dialogue in the movie was "Don't you know who I am? I'm the juggernaut bitch!"
pretty much my opinion as well.
The only think that REALLY aggravated me was the fact that Vinnie Jones was the Juggernaut. Just wrong... wrong, wrong, wrong. . They REALLY should have cast someone else.
You weren't upset about Gambit's absence? I...
I thought it was damn shitty....
It was ok.
I REALLY thought all the dodgy cable-work could have been done alot better. It looked like an old-skool Kung-Fu movie is places. Some of the flying looked ok, like Magneto and Storm (sometimes) but all the rest looked very un-natural IMO, especially Beast, who was otherwise an awsome charactor.
I also think that if they wernt going to give charactors like Angel and Kitty any development or presence they should have left them out. I was really hyped about Angel in this movie coz he looked kickass, but then i was left "WTF? You see him 3 times or something?"
Still, I was a decent movie. Finially getting to see Bobby all iced up was cool. The things thrown in for the fans were great. Juggernaught Bitch, the Sentinal and shit like that.
As an X-Man fan it was "ok", as a general movie goer it was great.
I wasn't happy with Juggernaut, I think he looked too plastic and not big enough. The comics always had him TOWERING over people and in the movie he just seemed slightly bigger.
i didn't like the fact that so many x-men died.. i don't know what they will do for the next movie (and I know this is open to debate, but as far as I'm concerned, there will be another)..
I also thought Kelsey Grammar was phenomenol as Beast. I liked it, although i know it wasn't very in line with the comics, still a good watch
I was pretty upset with the lack of Colossus. Pretty lame they only gave him one line and limited action, I know I'm not the only one who was hoping for a Colossus/Juggernaut fight.
Like the other X-men movies, I thought it felt more like The Wolverine Movie: Costarring some X-men
it was very entertaining, but i wanted to see colossus do more than just throw wolverine around.
You said the exact thing I said.
Compared to X-Men and X2 it wasn't that good.
As a movie goer...I thought it was enjoyable. Wasn't as good as X2, but had some really nice action sequences. As a comic book fan, I was disappointed in the way they portrayed some of the characters, and how many they tried to "force" into the movie. Overall, I thought it was decent. I did notice they seemed to take a lot from the Ultimate Universe, like Jugg.
I actually liked it more than the other X-Men only because since I didn't read any spoilers, it wasn't as predictable as the other two were for me.
