    Price?
    are there different packages?
do you have to have it professionally installed?
What are the cool things that would make me spend my money?

    anyone have it?

yes, gets cheaper the more units you have
no professional install, easily done yourself
i am obsessed with the way you can preview what's on other stations before actually switching, i try to do it all the time on regular radio before i realize what i'm doing :hs:

    so yes, i have it.

Supposedly, Sirus is better, less talk channels, more channels with no commercials.

consumer reports did a comparo of the two, and XM proved better sound quality and signal strength.. Sirus had more black out spots then XM.

nope, hence a cheaper subscription than sirius.

i think i'll renew my XM though, i don't wanna pay much more than 99 a year for radio, i can live with a couple random commercials an hour. it's a lot less commercials than FM though.

some channels have commercials, some don't.. the channels that have commercials are channels that are also aired in analog in their specific areas, i.e. Los Angeles's Kiss which is chanel 21

most of the XM stations, which make up about 75% of it are commercial free, i.e. the 90s, the top 20 on 20

XM and Sirius are both far far far superior to terrestrial FM and AM radio.

Your best bet is to listen to both, compare the prices you can get for the equipment and go from there.

Sirius has 60 music streams that are 100% commercial free and 40 talk streams that have very few commercials (maybe 4 per hour, tops). Sirius is $12.95 per month for the first receiver and $6.95 per for each additional receiver. Plus, they have longer term rates that save you money (quarterly & yearly), including a $400 lifetime subscription.

    I  my Sirius.

They have commercials, and some people feel they've been increasing...

Sirius has no commercials on the music channels :bigthumb:
I don't know how they got blackouts with sirius... at most I get blips under larger overpasses...
    www.siriusbackstage.com has helpful info

XM has more music channels than Sirius but Sirius has not commercials on their music channels. There are times when I hear a commercial but it really isnt noticable.
