does anyone else have this problem?

i don't. whey protein is fine for me. i figuree i could use the extra cals from the weight gain stuff but it just upsets my stomach.
Its probably lactose intolerance. I haven't taken weight gainer but with whey I had to try 5 different brands before I found one that didn't make me shit like a mad man. I finally figured that if I go whey protein isolate ala isopure I was fine, its when you get things with milk proteins or mixes that you get in trouble. Either find one that doesnt have milk products which I assume will be hard with a weight gainer or if this is only temporary while bulking you may want to pop a lactose pill before you drink the shake.
I don't think I'm lactose intolerant. I take my whey with milk and I'm fine.

IF your take your Whey with water it goes throught your system so fast that it can cause you to shit it out. That is ok to an extent after you work out cause you want the protein in your muscles fast. If you want it to slow down through your body and to absorb everything mix it with milk which will slow the absorbtion down. That is why if you are just adding protein to your diet you mix it with milk not water.
don't have that problem with ON Serious Mass
maybe i should switch to that?

weight gainer really is no different than eating cake + drinking milk

are you taking creatine as well? that used to give me the squits, eating a sensible diet and taking protein shakes has sorted that out to an extent, I find if I don't eat proper solids then my liquid diet comes out a lot quicker than I would like.
the only other change I have made is switching to whey with low carbs as I get enough of these in my diet through normal food,

Taking the full serving at once? Try and split it up into at least 2 different shakes and see how that works
yeah i'm taking it all at once. i admit it seems like a lot so i'll split it up and see how that works
so shitting the protein out is good after i workout so that it goes to my muscles? will the vapors just go there, or do I have to smear the shit on transdermally, I'm not looking forward to doing that, but whatever provides rapid absorption, thanks in advance
