i've only heard one so far, and it was a guy with montana tags at our carshow last september... it sounded great with classic rock, heavy metal, cookie monster, and cuntry, but was lacking when he threw rap at it... he had it powered by an old kicker zr1000.

only one i've heard is in our demo room. it's the prefab boston box. I've powered it with a memphis 1000 and 2500. I think it has a lot of potential, but it's not spectacular in our sound room (which has poor acoustics anyway). and i never thought much of sound rooms or that you could get an accurate sound through switchers. but i think the sub will do nice in a car.

Those 2 subs you referenced are round drivers.

IIRC there's someone in here with 3 :eek3:
I've considered one as a 1-for-3 replacement for my 12.5LFs too  I just want to hear one in the flesh...I don't like supersubs vs my 12.5s usually :/

I wont bash their quality, i Just dont like metal tweeters. With good power, they sound good. We dropped them because we dont care much for the rep.

Im curious to see if my salesman are smart enough to understand that selling boston mids (3ohm) creates more of an issue if you want to run a 4ch to front/rear/ and bass:noes::noes:

    they arent:o

Like I said, you shouldn't post in areas in which you have no good advice to pass along.

Now go stand in the corner so the adults can talk here.

it's funny how when someone has a problem, and i give an answer... it solves the problem.

Is there any particular advantage to using an oval driver like that?

(and it's not really an oval, but damn if I can remember the real name.)

more install options... as in you can get a bigger sub surface area in a smaller space... like there are many tv speakers that are that shape, to save space.

i was talking to my rep about the boston and what it was designed to target. he told me the target is a 12W7. It should hold 1000w RMS (rated). Let me go dig up the link to the guy with 3 of them.
