We have got a couple emails from other vendors complaining about how they can't feed their family because online people like us ruin their business blah blah blah. Well we got a call from a few manufactures today about MAP and it looks like some other retailers have turned us in. I guess we will need to adjust our prices or hide the prices on some items to make them happy. Sucks that some people can't take some competition and have to run to the manufactures crying. So next time you pay so much for an item look at all the people charging MSRP and blame them. They mark up items 30-50% while we do 10% or less.

You should have asked those other retailers why they hate capitalism so much, and why they hate capitalism as well.

Actually, here is an idea: just have sales all the time. Put like half of your stuff on "sale" to the price you actually want to charge, then put the other half on sale the next week

SO the manufacturers made you raise your prices? Did you sign a contract guaranteeing that you wouldn't sell below a certain price?

JPC helps run a site that sells gun stuff for cheap. His OT hookups are even better. Some pussy ass commies got upset, so they reported him to the companies that his shop sells items from. Some companies have policies to enforce a minimum price on their product.

Do you have a contract with the manufacturer that says you have to sell at a particular margin? If not I would tell the complainers to pound sand. Or, integrate a coupon function into your checkout that lets people enter it for a special discount, that's what I had to do with mine.

The problem is MAP, minimum advertised price. Manufacturers have no control over what price merchants charge. So instead, they force an artificial price floor via a MAP policy. Most merchants get around this by saying, "Contact us for the real/discounted/special price!"

usually you're not allowed to sell below map or you loose your dealership with that company.... that's to "make it fair for all dealers" instead of people shopping various stores just for best price.

Anyway what's the link to your store I'm all for buying stuff cheap... and furthermore if this is the case (unless you're him) than how does Bud's sell M&P's for $399

Not true with either Glock or RRA as far as I know. Otherwise, TopGlock, Legal Transfers, and CDNN would be in deep shit.

Glock does have a pricing policy.

OP: Are there any optics companies that don't? Aimpoint and eotech both do right? I don't like buying from companies with such policies but it seems very common in the gun world.

No we do not have a contract with the manufacturers since we go through distributors and not them.

The problem with putting **ADD TO CART TO SEE PRICE** is when most people see that they just click away and go elsewhere.

Yes there are ways around it but manufactures do not just search the net for people selling below MAP, they respond to someone complaining.

You cannot buy directly from AIMPOINT, Trijicon, Leupold etc unless your orders are $5k minimum so you buy through their distributors. No the distributors do not have a MAP but you are suppose to follow the MAP but we were never told what the MAP was. But yes every company has a MAP but many do not enforce it and none actually have a under MAP hunting team, they just respond to people who report other vendors.

On little things we can't save you too much money but on the bigger stuff we can. If you are looking for high end optics, uppers etc we can save you some money. We will soon be dealing firearms and will also be pricing those low.
