Zelda meets God of War I guess, watered down versions but it looks awesome.

Yeah, I've heard been called a "jack of all trades, master of none", kind of deal.

I have only played the first darksiders dungeon and while it started out simple it was quite fun and lengthy. Boss was also awesome and better than the typical 3 hit zelda thing. Im a huge zelda fan and theres alot of stuff that it does better than this game, while theres also alot of stuff this game does better than zelda.

Doesn't feel like Zelda at all to me, and that's a good thing IMO since I'm not really a fan of Zelda games.

zeldas combat is more simple, but the blocking and countring and dodging mechanics work much better , whereas darksiders has more moves and techniques but you often find yourself button mashing more.

The dungeon design is almost exactly the same as zelda, find map, beat mini boss, find dungeon keys, beat main boss, but it has a nice visual flair to it.

I think tekky mentioned getting the boomerang in the other thread. I thought he was joking, but sure enough there's a boomerang in the first dungeon  same mechanics and 5 lock on ability as Twilight Princess too.

I have yet to see a real hub though, although with the ability to get Ruin later maybe this game will have it's own version of hyrule field.

Really liking it though. TP got really boring after awhile, this game always has something going on to keep you occupied.

Half way through the second dungeon in the game and about 6 hours in so far. I wonder how many dungeons total there are

Same area you're in, got the glove. After griever there's two more trophies for what looks like boss kills before you get one for finishing Destroyer. That's the only clue I have.
