Just wanted to know from you tenured cats out there what I should expect. No, not doing this to "beat some ass" - just looking to do something a lot different and challenging. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you go 100% full speed and power in everything you do, people won't take you seriously and they won't respect you. And don't worry about technique too much, that will come later.

I plan on going all out - I'm in sponge mode. All I really want to do is learn.

I was kidding about going 100%. Take it easy and focus on technique and not man handling your partner. Nothing wrong with letting yourself fall into a bad position or tapping, its much better than spazzing out.

No..I'm more about being humble, really. As I stated in my previous posts, I just want to learn.

I don't know - I guess from a noob point of view, I figure that it's inevitable until my stamina builds up.

Don't expect too much too fast...try and limit your expectations and keep from getting discouraged. Everything will come in time...it just takes a while :)

you will get beaten and destroyed, but one day you will be the person beating and destroying people. it just takes time and commitment.

Speaking of attitudes, the place I'm going to has a sign on the door that reads "Leave your ego at the door". I thought that was pretty cool to be honest.

The most important thing you can learn is the can-opener. I suggest you youtube some videos before starting class, and use it on everyone in your first class.

If you really want to be impressive, also learn the heel hook through youtube. Between the can-opener and the heel hook, they will really like you.
