so what's everyone been workin on lately? i've been 'busy' with a few different projects... a novel(la), revising a shooting script for a 20 minute short called 'Live Nude Girls: In Space' and three different comics. my artist is a little on the slow side so we're planning on doing a limited run of 4 for each. motivating women is a pain in the ass.

I was working on a short story a few weeks ago, but work and all that got in the way. I wanted to be a published writer so badly when I was younger.

i haven't really had a desire to become a published writer. i just write for relaxation and personal enjoyment more than anything. at one point i'd wanted to get into writing blockbusters for hollywood, but i slapped myself for that and now just work on scripts for friend's films and my own short flicks. i've been working on a zombie script for a few years but i'll never finish it.

it's not that hard really. what you need is a good group of RPGers, a good voice recorder and some AD&D core rule books... a lot of r.a. salvatore's inspiration came from his gaming group and his characters are some of the most entertaining. it's a good way to get a ball rolling. write a module, have your friends play it, record and use the games as your 'notebook'.

    I thought about that.

Then I start playing scenarios out in my head.

I have like 20 ideas for fantasy stories that tie in to eachother.

Not including my epic space operas whilst ripping off robotech.

I have been writing something for about a year now. Not even my best friend knows I am working on something. My wife keeps pushing me to finish it, but shit gets hard after a while. Eventually, I'll get it done.

Oh fuck. Am I being called out? I start by writing whatever is on my mind, but once I get to a certain point I just focus on one. It is what works for me

Really? Good luck, people who can write blow me away. I can write papers and stuff, but no fiction.

It is not as easy as people think all the time. Give it a go sometime and you could probably change your mind. Get an idea, go with it and edit it when a new idea for it pops into your head.
