It served as inspiration before I even had a camera:

This started it. My parents had a friend who got my dad into photography a bit. Or at least convinced him to get a DSLR. I don't think my dad touches it anymore. A few days after our first daughter was born my mother snapped this pic of my daughter while napping in the sun to get rid of some jaundice.

I wanted to be able to capture more moments like this.

This one's it for me...it was a quick snap through the windshield, but it made me want to capture more, and do it better.

Probably some of the slides I took of Machu Pichu years back. Wish I could find those now that I'm getting more into photography.

This was the image, combined with all my travels in the American SW, that got me wanting to make my own images.

I would suggest going to the emergency room ASAP - you may have a torn anal wall. use more lube next time

for some reason, it was this one for me:

That's a shot of a fairly new bridge in downtown Rochester, NY that I came across randomly when looking for a wallpaper on interfacelift.com, and it interested me. i always think of Rochester as being a pretty crappy place, but it looks like it's got some excitement to it. although i do think the reflection from the water is a bit distracting.
